From ‘H-1B Status’ to ‘Permanent Residency’ – Helped client from Virginia by filing change of status from F-1 to H-1B in 2018; PERM application in April 2020; I-140 in March 2022 and I-485 using Cross-chargeability (spouse from Peru, so, used visa numbers allocated to Peru) in August 2022; permanent residency (GC) received in June 2023.

Concurrent H-1B employment as an Occupational Therapist – Guttikonda Law Firm (GLF) helped this client from Flushing, Queens, New York and employed at a Special Education institution and a large Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York in obtaining her H-1B in 2001 and later employment based green card in 2007.

 

From ‘Labor Certification (RIR)’ to ‘Permanent Residency’ – Helped client from Wisconsin, employed as a Pharmacist in a large Pharma Chain in Kenosha, Wisconsin, with filing labor certification in RIR process in 2003, filing her adjustment of status (I-485) in 2007 and obtaining her permanent residency (GC) later. 

 

GLF assisted a client from Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, employed as a Web Application Developer at the University in Pennsylvania with filing labor certification in RIR process in in 2004 and obtaining his permanent residency (GC) in 2016.

 

GLF assisted a client from Jamaica who has entered U.S. as a visitor. GLF helped her with changing status to an F-1 student status and later in obtaining her permanent residency (GC) based on a family-based petition.

 

From ‘H-1B Status’ to ‘Permanent Residency’ – Helped a client from New Jersey, employed as an Environmental Scientist in a Pharmaceutical company in Bronx, New York with obtaining her first H-1B status in 1999, many extensions, and later her green card through the same employment in 2008.

 

Section 245(i) case – Helped a Polish citizen, who has fell out of status, then living in Brooklyn, New York, and employed as a Secretary / Interpreter at a Medical PC office to obtain her permanent residency (GC) through employment by filing labor certification in 2001, immigrant petition and 245(i) adjustment of status.

 

Visa Numbers Cross Chargeability & 245(i) – From ‘H-1B Status’ and “Out of Status” to ‘Permanent Residency’ – Helped client from Texas by filing PERM application in June 2010; immigrant petition in December 2022 and I-485 using Cross-chargeability (spouse from Mexico, so, used visa numbers allocated to Mexico) in February 2021 and 245(i) for spouse; permanent residency (GC) received in December 2021.

 

Helped a client, employed in Manhattan, New York in obtaining a family based permanent residency for his wife in 2009 and son in 2010 (by way of consular process) and daughter in 2013. Because they stayed outside of the U.S. for more than a year after obtaining their permanent residency (GC), GLF assisted the family again to file their I-131 Re-Entry Permits in 2011, 2012, 2014 and 2016; and assisted in DS117 Returning Resident Visa(s) filings at US consulate in London, UK in 2018, as well as I-90 applications to renew their permanent resident cards (green cards).

 

GLF assisted a U.S. citizen client living in Texas to get permanent residency (GC) for her spouse and parent through family-based immigration process.

 

A client came to us with an I-485 RFE, which requested additional evidence relating to the client’s prior arrest. It happened over 5 years ago in a different state from where they were then living. We counseled the client to obtain the relevant court documents, police records and responded to the RFE. The client received Permanent residency (GC).

 

GLF assisted a parent client who has entered U.S. as a visitor. GLF helped her with adjusting to permanent residency (GC) based on a family-based petition filed by her US citizen son. After receiving the permanent residency (GC), we assisted the parent client to file re-entry permit to visit India for an extended stay for over 6 months.

 

GLF assisted a US citizen to file a family-based petition for her mother to obtain permanent residency (GC) via consular processing in India. 

 

GLF assisted a US citizen mother to file a family-based petition for her three (3) adult daughters, both married and unmarried to obtain permanent residency (GC) via consular processing in Jamaica. The process took over 7 years.
